we are guarded unconditionally
This morning I read head line ‘Not even half of us voted’ in hindustan times, one of the commuter was reading. most of the image said less than 50% voting in mumbai.
I was shocked by reading the fact that there are more than 50% of the people ignorant about country’s future.
I believe that we avoid voting just because we do not find better candidate. but having police record is the only eligibility criteria for politician. There should be atleast one without police record.
I did vote. I know this is not going to change anything. but I atleast choose to vote & reduce chance of ONE bogus vote, I am not sure but may be these machines can be manipulated. I wish we all can adopt this approach in future.
Government arranged us holiday.
most of us did our best, by watching TV / spend time with girlfriend or family but did not choose to spend 30min for voting.
this was because malls were closed for half a day otherwise most of us would have been watching Do knot Disturb, may be next time keeping malls open & arranging voting in malls might encourage people to vote.
I am one of those who does not vote (although I voted this time). we are frustrated by the public transport, TAX & job.
even if you pay for 1st class pass you get to travel like sheep. forget seat you don’t get comfortable place to stand. getting into train is itself a challenge. there is no better situation with BEST buses. few BEST drivers does not even stop at busstop. if you manage to travel by bus, you get to spend atleast hour in traffic with polluted air to breath.
besides the fact I can not afford bombay I bought house in dombivali east to breath fresh air. try walking in dombivali east (near railway station) you’ll feel like walking in SAKINAKA. you can actually see layer of polluted air. Thanks to auto. In here we do not have PUC / traffic police.
I don’t have vehicle but whenever I rent one to run away from mumbai I endup paying toll charges. I am fine if road is good e.g mumbai-pune express way, but paying toll for roads under construction is annoying. many may find it strange but I have to pay for intercity road. if you want to goto kalyan / dombivali from bombay / vashi you have to pay toll for road that is under construction. it is pity that governing authority cant even afford intercirty roads for tax payers. I don’t prefer going bombay by mumbra just because, even after paying toll vehicle keeps dancing, seems like roads are never maintained.
if you belong to political party, paint party SIGN / LOGO on your number plate & roam free without paying tolls. why this is allowed? cant this be misused? even I can paint party sign & roam free. if this facility is mandatory why not impose identity card verification.
we are the tax payer, our paid money is used to build pathetic transport & for politician’s comfort. during recession we do not get enough tax exemption. neither government is able to control high price.
I believe most part of our paid tax should be used for defence. I highly respect true heroes, fighting for us on border.
Let me share my experience,
one night I went for drink with anil (my very close friend). bar was packed & we had to share table with other two. initially we felt trying another bar, but after realising it was weekend we choose to share table. these fellows were naval divers. we discovered this once after they initiated conversation, they were worried if we are seated comfortably, only soldiers can think this way. we spoke about our profession & thanked them for providing us peaceful life. this was my first conversation with real heroes. I was astonished by their thoughts. they think what we are doing is real country service, we participate in country’s growth. But the fact is we are trying to earn livelihood.
I requested them to shoot two Pakistanis for us, whenever they get chance.
ask yourselves is this viable to avoid voting? country’s guards thinks, that we are the only reason for India’s growth. cant we vote for the sake of our guardians. Please vote.

although I am sharing this wisdom, I was the only one from our family who didn’t wished to vote. this was my younger brother who pushed me
