Windows XP Traffic Shaper

What if your application developer suddenly as you to limit his / her Ethernet bandwidth of windows xp machine? and you do not have spare router / switch for traffic shaping. What can be the convenient way to achieve same without utilizing additional hardware?

Probably this is where this freeware application fits in. it can control upload / download speed of your windows xp machine.
Following snaps will guide you through configuration.

First of all Download & Install Traffic Shaper XP
After installation execute application to apply speed limit on Ethernet.

Add rule for traffic shaping

Choose network adapter

Define direction for bandwidth control

Define Bandwidth

Once you are through with above configuration you’ll find network working at specified speed.
Unless you remove specified rule your network speed will be limited.

    How do you completely delete the rules? I limited the internet connection but how do i change it back to unlimited? i’ve deleted all the rules and everything i cant increase my internet speed back to what it was.

      All you need is select & delete rule. if for some reason thats not working, try reset network parameter using winsockfix
