Till now I have never upgraded Linux OS, mainly because I have no much data on my computer to backup.

I though of giving try to Ubuntu upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10, most of the posts I found were of upgrading Ubuntu using GUI. Ofcourse given procedure is best for all users but few like me would prefer shell for this job too.

Following is the single command require to upgrade your Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10.

sudo do-release-upgrade
