On Nov 24 2009 Mozilla has released Thunderbird 3 RC1.
I am using it since than, so far I have not faced any issue.
Apart from new look & other improvements, the feature I like most is to copy images in mail body, this is best.
As mentioned on site, this is not advisable to use Thunderbird RC for production. but if you still wish to use it, enable leave message on server & mark a copy to yourself for every outgoing mail. Also take a backup of your mail folder.
Anyways, this is going to be best release of thunderbird and I am sure everyone will like it.
