Few days back I had configured Tata plug2surf on Ubuntu 9.10, it was easy.
During procedure I discovered Reliance netconnect & tata photon can be configured with same ease.
Here I am sharing steps I used to configure tata plug2surf on Ubuntu 9.10
Edit your network settings
select mobile broadband
click on add

modem is detected –> click forward –> choose country

select tata plug2surf

enter username & password as internet

connect using tata indiacom.

sir, i am using net usb since 3 months successfully on ububtu linux. sometimes i can not talk with another person on yahoo massanger as this exe. file in not supporing on linux. please quid me whether any updates are for the same. i will be highly impressed

you can try installing yahoo exe after installing wine.
i’ll recommend you to use pidgin, pidgin will support yahoo

I followed aforesaid process to configure TATA plug2surf and it got connected, but the problem it drops within seconds.. Upon repeated attempts I tried back connecting on windows and its working fine with out any problem.
But need a solution for Ubuntu 10.04. Please help.

I surfed for a while using TATA plug2surf & its working fine. I regularly update OS.
Try update manager if there fix, this should get resolved.

I have never tried tata / reliance netconnect on ubuntu 9.04. Neither I have device anymore for testing purpose.
